The information about the court and the district
The territory of Sadarak district was taken from Sharur district and it was given the status of a district on 28 August 1990. It has a population of 14487, 49 of which are refugees and 369 internally displaced persons.
There are 3 villages and 1 settlement in the district. Sadarak district shares an 11 km border with the Republic of Turkey in the south west, 24 km border with the Republic of Armenia in the north west, 27 km border with Sharur district in the south east. Sadarak district consists of Heydarabad settlement, Sadarak, Garaaghaj and Karki village administrative territories. Karki village has been under occupation since 1990, and its population have settled in various regions of the country as internally displaced persons.
Heydarabad settlement was founded in 1982 by our national leader Heydar Aliyev and it received the status of a settlement on 23 March 2000. It is the administrative center of Sadarak district.
Sadarak District Court has been functioning since May 1993 and its jurisdiction covers Sadarak district’s territory. Its previous name was Sadarak District People’s Court.
Sadarak District Court is located in the administrative center of Sadarak district – in an administrative building specifically built for the court in Heydarabad settlement. The court building which has been constructed in line with modern standards condition the high status of the court. The building was commissioned on 18 June 2008.
